Guangüiltagua covers 558 hectares, mostly planted eucalyptus. It's a park for walking and cycling, not a theme park:

• Tree-lined trails for walking or cycling
• Around 27 bird species — best seen early
• Viewpoints where, on a clear day, you can pick out Cayambe, Antisana, the Ilinizas and El Corazón
• Open areas to sit with nobody rushing you

The name

Guangüiltagua comes from Quichua and has been translated as «lookout of the sacred mountain». It's also known as the hill of four waters. Worth knowing before you climb: it changes what you see.
